Sunday School June 2014-Aug 2014

These classes start on Sunday, June 1, 2014 and end Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014. They run every Sunday from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at Hope Center after our Sunday Service.

1. “Book of Malachi
Led by Christine & John Liao, Michael Chang, Wing Chi Tsui
Lobby Area

The Book of Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament. Between the book of Malachi and the New Testament is a span of 400 years, where there are no more prophets and God is silent. Come to this class and learn what attitude the Israelites had towards God during the Malachi time period, about God’s last words to His people before the silence, the eventual future of the Israelites, and how all this can help us grow as Christians today. Let’s dive into God’s Word together!

2. “Engaging Culture with Context
Led by Davy Wong
Room 102

A biblical understanding of culture equips us to engage popular culture sensitively and creatively. This class equips us to decode culture from a gospel perspective, and helps us to see how every ‘story’ intersects the greatest story ever told.

3. “Beginnings
Led by Jeffrey Su
Room 106

Many times, as Christians, we are on fire and ready to serve the Lord, but feel we are unprepared and don’t know where to begin. This class will discuss and address some of the ponderings we have such as how and why we pray, spiritual gifts, the purpose of offering, how to read and study the bible, evangelism,… and much more. This class is geared toward newer Christians, but is open to all.

4. Christianity 101
Led by Min. Rosie Hao, Linda Woo & Michelle Yeow
Room 105

If you would like to know more about Christianity and its teachings, Christianity 101 covers basic doctrines and concepts for taking steps to making a strong commitment with Jesus Christ.

5. Children’s Sunday School
Room 103
This class is for children (toddlers to pre-teens).

The Children’s Ministry works with children and encourages them to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ by teaching them about the Bible and God and nurturing a Biblical based lifestyle. If you have a desire to teach and mentor children, please contact Wing at wing.chi.tsui@gmail.com for more information.
