These classes start on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 and end Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. They run every Sunday from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at Hope Center after our Sunday Service.
1. “Ephesians and Philippians”
Led by Justis Hao, Tony Lam, Thomas Wong, & Howard Tai
What is Paul talking about in Ephesians and Philippians? How should we pray when facing trials and tribulations? What are some evidences that we are Christians? How should we live, knowing the saving grace of Jesus Christ? These are just some questions of many that will be discussed and answered through the teachings of these two books.
2. “Crucial Conversations“
Led by Davy Wong
As God’s people we’re called to be in relationship with each other, being united (John 17:20-23), and loving one another (John 13:34-35) as ourselves (Mark 12:29-31). However, we sometimes find ourselves at odds with each other. Why? Can we identify these crucial moments when communication breaks down and our relationships suffer? Yes we can, and we’ll learn how to have better conversations so we can be united and love each other.
3. “In the Gap”
Led by Min. Greg Woo & Winnie Ouyang
Based on the book by Wilfredo De Jesus, this class is focused on nine courageous people in the Bible. Through Scriptural engagement and discussion, we will relate the difficult decisions when facing adversity to our own spiritual lives.
4. Christianity 101
Led by Min. Rosie Hao, Linda Woo & Michelle Yeow
If you would like to know more about Christianity and its teachings, Christianity 101 covers basic doctrines and concepts for taking steps to making a strong commitment with Jesus Christ.
