    The new Sept-Nov Sunday School quarter has begun!

    There is a core group meeting today for all members. We will discuss ministry items, such as the upcoming deacon nominations.


1. Our 7:00  p.m. Wednesday night prayer meetings is at Hope Center room 106.

2. Sister’s Group–Every Thursday Oct. 2 til Nov. 3 from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Hope Center.
Angelica and Christine will be leading a sister’s group this fall for seven sessions starting Oct 2nd. It will be a time of fellowship, bible study on the book of Ecclesiastes, and prayer. Please speak to Angelica or Christine for more details.

3. Annual Church Membership Meeting–Oct. 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Main Church.
Details on the agenda will follow in the coming weeks.

4. FBC 19th Anniversary Celebration–Sat. Nov. 1st starting at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Center.
Please reserve this day to come celebrate our church’s anniversary!

5. Seminary Classes–We have two seminary classes being offered this fall beginning this week.

  • Rev. Leo Kim will be teaching a 2 credit course on ‘The Book of Judges’ on Tuesday nights from 7-9 p.m. from now until Dec. 8th.
  • Rev. Ezra Kim will be teaching a 2 credit course on ‘New Testament Greek Grammar and Readings’ on Saturdays from 1-5:30 p.m. from now until Nov 8th.

6. Movement Day–The mission of Movement Day is to cultivate gospel movements in cities by facilitating unity and collaboration amongst Christian leaders to address today’s urban issues; fostering an environment where City Networks are strengthened; and inspiring and challenging Catalytic Leaders to maximize their leadership potential.

7. Hope Center After School–Mon-Fri 3-6 p.m. at Hope Center
What: After School program for students
Registration: Register at the Hope Center office Mon-Fri 9-5 p.m.
Director: Intern Sister Zhong
Tuition: Monthly- $180; 1 semester (5 months)- $750
Transportation can be provided. See registration form at Hope Center for details.

8. Hope Center Chinese School–Sat. Sept 6 to Sat. Dec 10 from 9-11:30 a.m. at Hope Center
What: There will be a 15 week Chinese School program on Saturday mornings
Registration: Register at the office at Hope Center.
Director: Sister Mary Li
Tuition: 1 semester (15 weeks)-$250; Early Bird (before 8/31)-$5 off; Groups of 5-10% discount

9. Hope Center Art School–Sat. Sept 6-Sat. Nov 29 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Hope Center
What: There will be a 13 week Art School taught by Minister Paul Li who was an art professor in China. He is very patient and talented when teaching art to children. Recommended ages 5-16 years old.
Registration: Register at the office at Hope Center.
Director: Minister Paul Li
Tuition: 1 semester (13 weeks)-$250 (all materials included)

10. Recycle Your Printers and Ink Cartridges–If you have any printers or ink cartridges that can be recycled, please give them to Min. Greg or Phil Yeh. Our church can get credit for these supplies.
