Sunday School June 2015 – August 2015

These classes start on Sunday, June 7, 2015 and end Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015. They run every Sunday from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at Hope Center after our Sunday Service.

1. “The Bible: An Overview
Led by Michael Ren
Room 102
We often study the Bible a book or a theme at a time in order to attain deeper and greater understanding of certain points. However, we might be left with several questions, such as, “Well, what about the rest of the Bible?”, “What is THE point of the Bible?”, “How does this tie in with…?”,, and more. Although we won’t be able to answer all of our questions regarding the entirety of the Bible, we will aim to look at the major, significant events in the Bible. This means we will be looking at the Old Testament a lot (if you look in your Bible, you will see that most of the pages contain the OT) and how it connects to the New Testament. Over the course of this Sunday school quarter, we will be painting the big picture of the Bible in very broad strokes as you fill in the fine details with messages, other Bible studies, and devotionals.

2. “Minor Prophets: Introduction and Survey of the 12 Minor Prophets
Led by the Chrestotes Cell Group
Lobby Area
A brief overview and introduction to the twelve Minor Prophets and their ministry, historical backgrounds, and what made each prophet unique. At the end of the quarter, everybody should be able to describe each minor prophet’s ministry and any applicable unique attributes.

3. “Christianity 101”
Led by Min. Rosie Hao & Terry Woo
Room 105
If you would like to know more about Christianity and its teachings, Christianity 101 covers basic doctrines and concepts for taking steps to making a strong commitment with Jesus Christ.

5. “Children’s Sunday School”
Led by the Makrothumia Cell Group
 Room 103

This class is for children (toddlers to pre-teens).

The Children’s Ministry works with children and encourages them to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ by teaching them about the Bible and God and nurturing a Biblical based lifestyle.
