A cell group is a group of believers who meet for the purpose of worshipping and experiencing God and serving each other and the surrounding community. Cell groups are neither merely events nor weekly activities; they are the basic unit of life in the Church.
The four major functions and characteristics of cell groups are to:
1) Build and encourage one another
2) Equip and teach members for works of ministry
3) Share the gospel
4) Raise up leaders for Christ
Each cell group has about 10-12 members of both genders of all ages. Cell groups meet weekly on Fridays at Hope Center from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and do a variety of activities together including: worship, prayer, Bible study, games, have dinner together, etc.
Our cell groups congregate together for combined programs on Friday nights such as on: Holidays (Thanksgiving Banquet, Christmas Banquet, New Year’s Eve Celebration, Good Friday/Easter), Fundraising Specials (for our ministries such as: YUGO, Urbana, Retreats), or Team Building (Battle of the Cell Groups) activities.
